In 2010 The Falmouth Road Race lands on Sunday August 15. The 38th annual race begins in Woodhole MA and runs along the coast and through Falmouth Heights.
The race is very popular among locals and many of them run every year. The professional racers start at 10 AM. THE NEW RACE HEADQUARTERS IS AT FALMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL, 874 Gifford Street, Falmouth. From I-495, go over the Bourne Bridge, follow Route 28 south toward Falmouth. Exit Route 28 at Brick Kiln Road. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp and stay on Brick Kiln Road for about one mile to the first traffic light (Gifford Street). Turn left at this light. The high school driveway will be about 300 yards ahead on the left.
From the Mid-Cape and other points east: follow Route 28 to the Mashpee Rotary; take Route 151 to traffic light at Sandwich Road; turn left onto Sandwich Road and follow it to the next traffic light at the intersection with Brick Kiln Road; turn right onto Brick Kiln Road and follow it to the next traffic light and turn right; the high school driveway will be about 300 yards ahead on the left.

ADDITIONAL START CORRAL: The last corral will be divided into two to alleviate the congestion at the start and help the flow of runners.
NEW BALANCE HIGH SCHOOL MILE: On Saturday, August 14, the first invitational race for high school-age boys and girls who reside on Cape Cod will be held. Participants have been selected by a committee of high school coaches. The New Balance girls’ race will start at 5:50 p.m. and the boys’ race will start at the completion of the girls’ race. The traditional CIGNA Falmouth Invitational Mile will start with the women running at 6:15 p.m. and the men at 6:30. All miles, H.S. and Invitational will take place on the James Kalperis Track at Falmouth High School. The track is located right behind the field house where the race numbers are picked up.
If you attend the Falmouth Road Race be sure to check out the area. The Shinning Sea Bike Path runs from Woodshole to North Falmouth at Rt28a and RT151. It can be a great way to avoide traffic. The bike path runs behind several business's and parking areas along RT28a.
